20 Oct Famous Architect Said That Marawi City Is No Longer Fit For Human Habitation

In an article posted by Bombo Radyo Cagayan de Oro, Maranao Muslims can no longer use or live in the part of the war-torn city of Marawi due to the gravity damages resulted from the attacks of the Maute-ISIS group.
This was the statement of the known urban planner Architect Felino Palafox Jr. who personally visited the pertained area.
According to Palafox, the main battle area in Marawi City could be preserved as a memory of the war of the government troops against the Maute-ISIS terrorists.
He added that the city will be able to fully recover from the damage within 50 years.
On the other hand, Regional Director of National Commision on Muslim Filipinos – 10 (NCMF-10), Atty Ombra Gandamra, said that the Maranaos don’t agree with the proposal, especially if it follows 50 years in restoring Marawi City.
Atty. Gandamra insisted to the City Mayor Majul Gandamra to help the Maranaos for their immediate and full recovery.
