14 Jan FDA Approves Generic Brand Of Anti-COVID Pill in PH
Mga higala! The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the compassionate special permit of BEXOVID, a generic version of Pfizer’s anti-COVID pill—Paxlovid!
This was recently announced by Acting Presidential Spokesperson and Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles.
The said anti-COVID pill reduces the risk of hospitalization or death by around 89% when taken within 3 days of the onset of symptoms and around 88% when taken within 5 days.
This medicine can soon be accessed through government hospitals and through the Department of Health’s (DOH) facilities once Biocare Lifescience, Inc. can deliver the supplies.
