14 Jul FDC Misamis Power Plant Synchronizes With Grid Boosting Power Supply in Mindanao

July 12, 2016, a power unit of the Filinvest group of companies made its first unit which is a 405-megawatt projects synchronized with the Mindanao electricity grid.
According to Andrew Gotianun Jr., FDC Misamis Power Corp. (FDC Misamis), the linking of what would be Mindanao’s biggest power plant “is in line with the Duterte administration’s thrust to promote regional growth, most especially in Mindanao.”
The said power plant is a multi-billion peso investment which uses the circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boiler technology which is the latest in clean coal technology. It is also known for possesing higher steam generator efficiency which yields to lowering carbon emissions, aside of being the cleanest process to burning coal.
FDC Misamis which is located on the Phividec Industrial Estate in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental is a part of the Gotianun-led Filinvest Development Corp. and a subsidiary of FDC Utilities Inc. (FDCUI).
