08 Jan Female From CDO Tests Positive For Omicron Variant: 2nd In Region 10
Mga higala! A female from Cagayan de Oro City has recently tested positive for the OMICRON variant of COVID-19!
This is the second case of the said variant in Region 10.
This was disclosed yesterday, January 7, 2022, during the press briefing of the Department of Health Center for Health Development in Northern Mindanao (DOH CHD-NM).
The said female is a 20-year-old Returning Overseas Filipino (ROF) from Brgy. 1 with the following details:
- a college student
- ROF from Las Vegas (USA)
- traveled Las Vegas-Japan-Philippines
- arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on December 22
- isolated until December 30 at the Makati Oxford Hotel
- transferred to the Manila Prince Hotel on December 31
- current status: recovered
- still in isolation and has not returned to CDO
ICYDK, an ROF from Iligan City also tested positive for Omicron. This is the region’s 1st case:
