10 May Finally, Roxas Conceded to Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte
On May 10, Liberal Party (LP) bet Mar Roxas accepts defeat in the presidential race against leading vote getter, Davao City Mayor, Rodrigo Duterte.
As of 1:38 pm today, May 10, Roxas placed second in the presidential race with 9,270,023 (23.3%) votes while Duterte is ahead by a wide margin at the top with 15,368,887 (38.7%). 91.53% of votes are already transmitted and counted.
“Digong, I wish you success.
As Roxas accepted his defeat, he also reminded the people that Robredo’s campaign to win the Vice-Presidential race is not yet over.
He said, “Hindi pa tapos ang laban ni Leni. Angat siya; lumalaban siya. Patuloy tayong magbantay, manalig, at sumuporta.
Roxas’ concession is the second presidential candidate to concede in the 2016 elections. The first one was Senator Grace Poe who admitted her defeat last night.
