10 Feb Two Foreign Firms Interested to Finance The Mindanao Railway System Project
According to the Mindanao Developments Authority, two foreign firms are reportedly interested to finance the Mindanao Railway System. These foreign firms include one from Japan and one from Indonesia.
The said project has been long-delayed since its conceptualization in 1990s. It was specifically during the term of former president Fidel V. Ramos in 1992.
To cover approximately 2,000 kilometers of railways connecting the major cities of Mindanao, the project’s feasibility study has been done and is estimated to cost P78 Billion.
