In an article posted by Bombo Radyo Cagayan de Oro, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) has considered that a short circuit is the cause of fire incident last Sunday, November 19, in  Barangay Gusa, Cagayan de Oro.

This happened after it was confirmed that a woman died in the incident after trapped in a room, she was identified as Nelly Zapanta, 65 from Negros Occidental.

According to BFP Investigator SPO1 Dennis Dales, the fire started in a rented bakery owned by Beinvenido Macaraig Jr. and reached the house of Zapanta.

Further, the Macaraig Family blamed the defective electrical wiring for the incident and they also suspected that there were people who hated them and burned the area. The family entrusted the authorities with the investigation.
