05 Sep Firearms Seized in Ely Pamatong’s CdeO Residence

Firearms owned by self-proclaimed Commander-in-Chief of the Philippines and leader of the USA Freedom Fighters of the East, Atty. Ely Pamatong, were seized in a raid conducted by the Martial Law Special Action Group (MLSAG) inside Pamatong’s residential compound at Barangay Tablon, Cagayan de Oro City last Thursday, August 31.
In an article from Sunstar Cagayan de Oro, the Martial Law Special Action Group (MLSAG) carried out the raid on Pamatong’s compound called “Camp General MacArthur” and discovered a .45 caliber pistol, two fragmentation grenades, military uniforms, combat boots, inverted Philippine flags, American flags among others.
However, operatives suspected that somebody tipped off Pamatong before the operation since he was no longer inside the compound when the operatives arrived to serve his warrant of arrest.
In addition, the MLSAG also discovered that Pamatong has his own version of presidential residence called “Palacio Mailakandian de Oro”.
Chief Investigator of Cagayan de Oro City CIDG, SPO4 Noel Oclarit, said that there are possibilities the lawyer will be charged with illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, illegal possession of explosives, and inverting the Philippine Flag.
Oclarit also said that Pamatong’s compound in the city is just one of his 30 camps scattered throughout the country.
