10 May LOOK: DPWH Completes Flood Control Structure @ Lugait, Misamis Oriental
Mga higala! A much-needed flood control structure was recently finished by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Lugait, Misamis Oriental!
This is located in Brgy. Poblacion and has a length of 606.5 lineal meters.
According to a post by DPWH Sec. Mark Villar, the flood control structure acts as a primary defense against the constant flooding brought by the area’s overflowing river during heavy rainfalls.
This then prevents damages to physical infrastructure, agricultural, educational institutions, and residential areas.
