Speaking again of peanuts, this particular pasalubong actually started in Iligan City but somehow has found its way to CDO. Many Luzon travelers actually look for this brand because of its distinct flavor. This business has been in operation for 47 years and continues to produce high-quality peanut products. They offer toasted peanuts, salted peanuts, sugar-coated peanuts, crispy garlic hot peanuts, spicy peanuts, peanut brittle, peanut barquiron, and peanut butter flavor. Enough reason to count this as one of the food pasalubong in Cagayan de Oro City.

Some may argue that the Puto, Remember Me, and Monks Blend Coffee are also good pasalubong fares. However, Remember Me is a soup-based dish and is almost impossible to transport because of its difficult portability. Puto tends to spoil a bit after a day and won’t taste good once placed in the refrigerator. Monks Blend are coffee beans harvested in Bukidnon, but generally, coffee isn’t a popular pasalubong, unless the person specifically searches for it. On the whole, Cagayan de Oro can hold its own compared to other cities when it comes to local delicacies as pasalubong. These abovementioned have been proven to immediately identify anyone as having come from Cagayan de Oro. Then again, if you’re into good food, you can just buy all of the above for pure palatable enjoyment.
