At least 12 former members of the New People’s Army (NPA) received cash assistance amounting to  P65,000  and firearms remuneration each from the Philippine Government last October 31, 2017, at the 4th Infantry Division in Camp Osito Bahian, Malaybalay, Bukidnon.

In an article from Manila Bulletin, another eight members of the NPA Militia ng Bayan were given remunerations for handing over their firearms through the Comprehensive Local Integration Program (CLIP) which also provides a P50,000-worth livelihood assistance and a cash assistance of P15,000 to surrendering terrorists.

Aside from that, CLIP also sees to it that the surrenderees will be reintegrated to the society through a reintegration package which includes a livelihood and capacity development training.

403rd Infantry Commander Brigadier General Eric Vinoya, who was also the Head of the CLIP Committee in Bukidnon, was thankful that the former members of terrorist groups have already received their packages and cash assistance from the government.

He also likewise encouraged other members of the NPA to leave their ranks and go back to their normal lives as civilians.
