15 Feb Galua, POI for Rotoras’ Murder, Sleeps in Jail for the First Time
According to a report by Nitz Arancon of Mindanao Gold Star Daily, Architect Rey Galua has recently spent his first night in jail since his arrest last January 9, 2018.
As some of us may know, he had an excuse to spend his 35 days in a comfortable hospital arrest due to his “heart ailment”.
Arturo Ubaub, Galua’s lawyer, stated that his client was transported on Tuesday, around 7 pm by Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) officers. The BJMP’s decision was based out of a discharge by Northern Mindanao Medical Center physicians stating that the architect is now in better health.
“Akong gi-ingnan tong ilang dako-dako sa BJMP nga dili lang usa nila dad-on si Galua sa Lumbia kay wala pay resolution ang akong gi-file nga motion sa korte, pero wala gyud mosugot,” Ubaub said.
As of now, Ubaub is set on submitting a memorandum to the regional trial court for Galua’s status and continued medical treatment, worrying that his client may suffer a stroke in jail.
