In an article posted by Inquirer.com, one of the country’s leading bread manufacturer, Gardenia Bakeries, is planning to embark on a 1-Billion pesos investment in Mindanao.
This investment is intended for the construction of a fully automated bread manufacturing plant equipped with the latest baking technologies within the Phividec Industrial Estate in Misamis Oriental, near Cagayan de Oro City and is believed to be the third among the largest manufacturing plants in the Philippines.
Gardenia caters to more than 60% of the bread market throughout the country with 130,000 loaves and buns produced a day which will be distributed to the different parts of the Philippines.
Other Gardenia manufacturing plants are located in Laguna that are also the main supplier of Gardenia products in Luzon and Cebu in Visayas.
