12 May Gibo Teodoro is Back! – Duterte Reserved a Cabinet Position for Him
It has been confirmed that Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro will join Davao City Mayor Rodrigo “Rody” Duterte’s cabinet once Duterte is elected as the 16th President of the Philippines.
Duterte’s spokesperson Peter Laviña confirmed this news as he has already talked to Teodoro, the former Defense Secretary under the Arroyo administration.
Laviña did not yet confirm on what position will be given to Teodoro as well as other details discussed during the meeting between Duterte’s camp and Teodoro.
Gilbert Cojuangco Teodoro is a cousin of President Benigno “Noynoy” Cojuangco Aquino III. They both ran for Presidency in 2010 where Aquino won by a wide Margin. Gibo finished fourth behind Manny Villar.
Gibo obtained his undergraduate degree in Commerce from De La Salle University in 1985, later he then took and finished his Law studies at the University of the Philippines from 1985 to 1989. Gibo is bar top-notcher when he took the exam in 1997. He was also a former congressman in the 1st district of Tarlac, and a certified Pilot.
“Duterte always had great respect for Gibo and wanted to support Gibo2010,” said in a previous interview with Duterte.
Duterte himself once endorsed Teodoro in 2014 that if Miriam-Defensor Santiago offers him to be her vice presidential running mate for 2016, he should accept it.
Duterte said, “He is a man of integrity and competence. And he would make a good Vice President of this republic. I know him.”
Duterte who aims to have a “powerhouse of experienced and competent” leaders for his Administration also includes other names that might assume positions under his Administration.
Aside from Teodoro, they are Jesus Dureza; Carlos “Sonny” Dominguez, Businessman Tomas Alcantara; Mayor Leoncio Evasco Jr. from a town in Bohol; Isidro Ungab, the outgoing congressman of the 3rd district of Davao City; and retired Chief of Staff Gen. Hermogenes Esperon Jr.
Duterte wants more candidates for the available positions in his Cabinet, but one thing is for sure, Gibo Teodoro is back!

Posted at 09:31h, 12 MayI voted for him in 2010 despite majority of the Pilipinos got in the rah-rah for Pinoy.
He has got a lot between the ears compared to his cousin who got catapulted into the
President by accident of his mother’s death.

Posted at 04:18h, 13 MayJust after Pnoy took his oath and formed his cabinet,, i knew right away that he does not give weight on credibility and integrity but on his loyalty to his KKK (kaklase, kaibigan, kabarilan) otherwise, he should have given Gibo a post in his government. But no, his vengeful character overpowered him simply because he identified Gibo with GMA and that Gibo ran against him in the election. True enough, months after assuming their posts Abaya, Dela Ramas to name a few, were involved in embarassing news but did Pnoy reprimand his erring men? No! He just shrugged those incidents off and let them continue doing lousy works

Posted at 16:35h, 13 MayTahimik na buhay ni Gibo. He does not need this But para sa ikatitino ng Pilipinas he might make this huge sacrifice to help. We all know puro problema itong susu-ungin ng sino mang papayag na pumasok diyan. It is a super big responsibility and to think kahit anong magawang buti may nagpupula pa rin. Cannot really please everybody. Ganyan tayong mga Ewan puro pintas para bang ang gagaling at ang titino natin.
annonymous
Posted at 16:51h, 13 Mayas we all know Tahimik at Masaya na ang buhay ni Gibo – he really does not need this But if he believes and is convinced it will be helpful for our country perhaps he might get into this huge responsibility. alam nating lahat sakit ng ulo itong papasukin ng kahit sinong official. Hindi biro na maging pag aari ng Bayan and what is worst kahit anong tino at buti ang gawin may pintas pa rin at paninira – Ganyan tayong mga Ewan akala natin ke gagaling at katitino natin. Hindi ba naman???

Posted at 06:03h, 14 MayDuterte is proving that he is beyond politics in choosing people for his administration. He has said that he will include some of PNoy’s people who did well in their positions. Now he chooses Gibo to be a cabinet secretary. Now, if only he also chooses Leni to be in his cabinet, win or lose in the VP race – this would really be good.
