18 May Golf Courses in Areas Under GCQ Allowed to Continue Operation, Says DILG Secretary

In a statement by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Gen. Eduardo Año, golf courses in areas under general community quarantine (GCQ) can continue to operate and will not be ordered to close.
The following golf clubs were open and continued to operate on Sunday, May 17:
- Bacolod Golf and Country Club
- Pueblo de Oro in Cagayan de Oro
- Orchard Golf Club in Cavite
As provided in the guidelines, only golfers ages 21-59 are allowed to play. This is to protect the older populaton who are considered highly vulnerable to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
