19 Dec Gov. Emano Frees 8 MOPJ Inmates
December 18, 2017, Monday- In a celebration entitled “Pasko sa Binilanggo” at Misamis Oriental Provincial Jail (MOPJ), Governor Yevgeny Emano freed eight (8) inmates through the Good Conduct Time Allowance program.
The said prisoners have been in jail for 6 years now due to cases of robbery, carnapping, illegal possession of firearms, and rape.

Emano stated that these 8 inmates have religiously followed the rules and regulations inside MOPJ. He also added that they earned this opportunity thru their efforts in redeeming themselves from their past mistakes.
Emano then assisted them by providing the freed convicts with fare, food, and allowance so that they can return home and properly celebrate Christmas.
Furthermore, Jail Warden Dominador Tagarda assured Kagay-anons that all inmates are closely monitored every single day. They also conduct efforts for the holistic transformation of these convicts in coordination with religious groups and other concerned associations.
