Mga higala! Government offices in the country will be implementing a 4-DAY WORKWEEK and “shifting” due to the threat of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19)!

This is in accordance with Proclamation No. 922 issued by President Rodrigo Duterte, which aims to conduct any possible effort in order to “to undertake critical, urgent, and appropriate response and measures in a timely manner to curtail and eliminate the COVID-19 threat.”

However, according to the CSC Memorandum Circular No. 7, s. 2020 of the Civil Service Commission (CSC), even though the workdays are reduced, government workers will need to render 10 hours per day or 40 hours per week.

They can then choose to either go to work from Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday.

The start of this 4-day workweek will be announced separately in various government offices.
