14 Feb Mis Or Gov called All Gov’t Officials to probe Involvement in Illegal Drugs

Misamis Oriental Governor Yevgeny “Bambi” Emano summoned all barangay chairmen, mayors and vice mayors from 23 municipalities and 2 cities of the province.
According to a report from Bombo Radyo, the governor called them to ask them and know why some of the officials are included in President Rodrigo Duterte’s narco-list.
Emano said that possibly this week or next week, they would individually inspect some elected officials particularly those who are involved in illegal drug trade in the province.
Since President Duterte assumed the office, few barangay chairman in Misamis Oriental were arrested as they were caught selling illegal drugs.
It can be recalled that last January, the president gathered all governors in the Philippines at Malacañan to promote and intensify the government’s war on illegal drugs.
