If you’re one of those single ladies who regularly goes on girls-only outings with her group of gal friends, then maybe you’ve essentially been in what is called a Galentine’s day celebration.

Galentine’s Day is a result of the word “gal” replacing “val” in Valentine’s Day. The term debuted in the 2010 episode of the American TV series, Parks and Recreation. It’s a day for women to celebrate their platonic relationships with their female besties, single or otherwise.

Well, yeah, it’s more of a US kind of thing, but I’m sure Pinays have their own ways (and days) of declaring their love for their female barkadas who make up their support system.
