11 Oct “Habal-Habal” Driver Alleged No.2 Most Wanted Drug Pusher Killed in Tagoloan
On October 10, Monday afternoon, a “habal-habal” driver was killed as he resists arrest during the anti-drug operation at Zone 3, Barangay Sihayon, Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental.
The killed suspect was identified by SPO4 Ritchie Raiz, an investigator in Tagoloan Police Station as Rolando Ipit alias “Molong,” married and a resident of the said place.
Ipit was alleged big time drug personality as he was known to be a drug pusher for a long time. He was ranked as no.2 drug suspect in Misamis Oriental.
Raiz said that the authorities were forced to pull the trigger as Ipit tried to fight back.
Dr. Christian Caballes, medico-legal of Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) confirmed that they have few pieces of evidence upon examining the dead body of Ipit. He told the reporters of Bombo Radyo that they have recovered 45 caliber firearm, five sachets of suspected shabu and P500 marked money from the suspect’s pocket.
According to Caballes, Ipit was shot in his chest two times that passed through his back which caused his death.
Yet, Rolando’s wife, Jocelyn Ipit said that her husband was not a drug pusher adding that her husband is just a mere motorcycle driver.
Jocelyn also said that her husband does not own any firearms contradicting the police saying that the suspect was shot as he was trying to counterattack them.
