27 Jul Hidilyn Diaz Bags 1st Gold Of PH In Tokyo 2020 Olympics
Mga higala! Hidilyn Diaz has captured the Philippines’ 1st Olympic gold medal in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics!
Hidilyn bagged the said gold after conquering the weightlifting competition yesterday, July 26, 2021, and garnering a total of 224 kg (97 kg snatch, 127 kg clean and jerk).
She bested Liao Qiuyun of China (silver) who had a 223 kg total (97 kg snatch, 126 kg clean and jerk) and Zulfiya Chinshanlo of Kazakhstan (bronze) who got a 213 kg total (90 kg snatch, 123kg clean and jerk).
