03 Aug Higalaay Festival 2020 To Continue Despite COVID-19 Pandemic; Celebrations To Be Downscaled
Mga higala! HIGALAAY FESTIVAL or the Feast of St. Augustine, Cagayan de Oro City’s annual fiesta, will still be continued despite the current COVID-19 pandemic, according to Mayor Oscar Moreno!
“This year it will continue but we won’t forget our enforcement and observance of minimum health standards,” said Moreno.
He also added that the fiesta celebration may be downscaled, but it won’t be less significant nor meaningful amid the said health crisis.
Higalaay Festival 2020 will be launched today, August 3, at around 5:00 pm. The celebration will include the installation of incoming Archbishop Jose Cabantan, the virtual staging of the Miss Cagayan de Oro pageant, and more.
