21 Dec Holiday Sales To Cause Traffic Disaster This Weekend

As we observed during the past holiday seasons, Kagay-anons will surely have their last minute shopping before Christmas Eve. Especially due to various Holiday Sales in different malls.
This causes various problems for the city, particularly regarding our current traffic status.
Because of this, the Cagayan de Oro City Council has urged all malls to extend their operating hours during this Christmas and New Year.
Committee Chairman of Public Utilities: Councilor Teodulfo Lao stated that the daily crowd in huge malls will surely cause a traffic disaster this weekend.
Lao is currently working with the RTA and various mall officials. They’re doing their best to convince establishments to extend shopping hours until midnight to prevent a rushing mob of customers.
Nevertheless, Kagay-anons are advised to shop before the weekend in order to avoid needlessly being stuck on the road.
