House Panel Approves Bill Officially Declaring 200-Year-Old Dao Tree In Malasag As A Heritage Tree In Cagayan de Oro City

Mga higala! The House Committee on Tourism has approved a bill officially declaring the more than 200-year-old Dao Tree in Malasag Hill, Cugman, Cagayan de Oro City as a heritage tree and a tourist attraction, according to the Manila Bulletin.

The said bill, named House Bill 7562, was filed by Cagayan de Oro City Representative Maximo Rodriguez Jr.

ICYDK, the Dao Tree is famous due to its impressive age and its amazing height of 49 meters with a diameter of 222.8 centimeters.
