07 Jan Husband Shoots Wife Then Kills Himself During Sunday Mass @ Camiguin

Mga higala! A husband SHOT HIS WIFE to death during a mass yesterday, January 6, inside the San Roque Parish church at the town of Catarman, in Camiguin. He then committed suicide by shooting himself outside the church.
According to a report from Inquirer.Net, the authorities identified the wife as Ivy Linao, 35, a municipal employee in Catarman, while the shooter was identified as Celmar Linao, 37.
Based on statements from various witnesses, the wife tried to run to the side entrance of the church, when Celmar’s first shot failed because the firearm did not discharge. However, she was not able to get away in time because she was tagging along one of her kids.
Celmar then shot again and penetrated the victim’s skull. He then fired a single shot at himself.
