12 Sep IATF Recommends Optional Wearing Of Face Masks In PH

Mga higala! The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) has recently recommended the optional or voluntary wearing of face masks in the Philippines, when outdoors!
This recommendation has gotten a lot of positive reactions over the past week and has even received ‘verbal approval’ from President Bongbong Marcos.

However, the Department of Health (DOH) said that even when this is implemented, local authorities can still require face masks in outdoor spaces that are covered, poorly ventilated, or crowded.
The agency also added that parents should still have their children wear face masks when inside their schools so that they have an extra layer of protection from COVID-19 and other diseases.
