03 Oct Apple’s New Flagship iPhone 7 Plus Now Also Explodes
There have been a lot of reported explosion cases involving Samsung Galaxy Note 7, and this made the world appreciate the dangers of lithium-ion batteries. The company had already started retrieving all of their product models, and even those that were already bought were being replaced with new and “safe” Galaxy Note 7 or refunded.
On the other hand, Apple’s recently launched iPhone 7 series remained to be explosion-free not until a recent incident.
During the last week of September, a user of the social media, social news aggregation, web content rating, and discussion website Reddit reported an alleged case of an iPhone 7 Plus that exploded. Compared to Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphones which were said to have exploded while being recharged, iPhone 7 Plus exploded while being transported.
The explosion was said to be caused by some form of transportation mishap which might have affected the battery. Fortunately, as can be seen in the picture above, it didn’t cause a large fire and even the packaging was not scorched a little. However, there has no official report regarding the incident and what caused it to explode.
