23 Sep Mayor Isko Moreno Buys 500 Metric Tons Of Organic Rice From Mindanao Farmers

Mga higala! Ahead of the upcoming “MinDA Tienda sa Manila” event, Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno has bought 500 metric tons of black, red, and brown organic rice worth around P40 million, from Mindanao farmers!
This is a big help to local rice farmers higala!
The said organic rice will be given by Mayor Isko to the estimated 150,000 senior citizens in his city as a “gift pack”. This was an idea presented by Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) Secretary Manny Piñol.
ICYDK, the mentioned “MinDA Tienda sa Manila” is an event this October 2020 in Manila City, which will showcase proudly local products from Mindanao– including fruits, sea and marine products, processed fish and bottled Spanish sardines, vegetables, organic rice, handwoven fabrics from the Bangsamoro Region, and live high-value fish, such as Lapulapu.
