31 Oct Italian National Nabbed Inside an Inn in Capistrano Street in a Drug Bust Operation
Last October 28, 2016, Friday, an Italian national was arrested by anti-narcotic agents inside an inn in Capistrano Street here in the city during a drug bust operation.
Identified by a Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) official Ben Calibre as 40-year old Nicola Notortomaso, the suspect is from Rome, Italy.
According to Calibre, for over three years, the suspect has been a resident of Barangay 14 and considered as a high value target. And since June of this year, Notortomaso’s activities has been monitored and been followed by the PDEA.
Recovered from Notortomaso were P5,000 worth of three sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or “shabu”. Admitted that he is using illegal drugs along with other drug dependents just to gain friends, however, he denied involvement in the trade of illegal drugs in the city.
Notortomaso will be charged because of violating section 5 (selling) of the Dangerous Drugs Act.
Some four months ago, Notortomaso actually had turned himself in to the “Oplan Tokhang”.
