05 Mar Nurse From Talisayan, Misamis Oriental, To Receive British Royal Award @ London’s Buckingham Palace
Mga higala! JOY ONGCACHUY, a nurse from Talisayan, Misamis Oriental, who is based in the United Kingdom (UK), is now set to receive a British Royal Award for saving the lives of injured patients, during London Bridge terror attack on June 3, 2017.
According to ABS-CBN News, Ongcachuy will be given the Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) award on April 4, at the Buckingham Palace of London.
“It’s very overwhelming receiving that phenomenal award. It’s not an ordinary award that I received. I consider it as one of the best gifts that I have,” said Ongcachuy.
ICYDK, Joy Ongcachuy graduated at Liceo de Cagayan University and started only as a scrub nurse in 2002. Now, she is the Lead Robotic Nurse at the Royal London Hospital.
