23 Jan JR Borja General Hospital opens Cancer Detection Center to Public
In a report from Sun.Star, with the opening of JR Borja General Hospital’s (JRBGH) Northern Mindanao Cancer Detection Center, the public, especially the underprivileged, can now avail early detection of cancer.
This said opening of detection center, according to JRBGH chief of hospital Dr. Evelyn Perez, marks an additional milestone for the city hospital towards its goal of serving not only Kagay-anons but also for the whole region. More buildings are being expected to be built this year with the city hospitals earning increasing revenues.
Meanwhile, Dr. Ramon Nery who is the chief executive officer of JRGBH highlighted the importance of early detection of cancer of which will then be followed with early treatment. He then added the following screening schedules for breast, cervical, and prostate cancer:
2nd Saturday of every month
- Breast and Cervical Center
3rd Saturday of each month
- Prostate Cancer
These mentioned screenings will be conducted at the city hospital’s room 13 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
