13 May BEYOND TV Junior Summer Camp for Ages 8 to 11 Years Old at Mapawa Nature Park

This year, a 3-day outdoor camping made possible by BEYOND TV will be held at Mapawa Nature Park for kids ages 8 to 11 years old. Starting from 8:00 AM on May 26 and will end on May 28, 2016 at 2:00PM, the said three-day summer camp enables the junior campers to explore, discover and learn with the theme “RISE” which means Resilience, Independence, Self-Sufficiency and Earth-awareness.
At the camp, the children will be guided in organizing their belongings, in managing their time, and in performing their roles in the camp community. The young campers will be exposed to such activities that will bring them towards expanding their comfort zones and enhance their senses in an environment where they will experience setbacks as challenges and not failures. To make it more interesting, the junior campers will be earning tokens or prizes from activities, social interactions, challenges and community tasks.
Campers can expect a lot of activities, challenges and classes such as camp craft (tent-pitching, fire building, and camp cooking), tree climbing (with harnesses and ropes), trekking, swimming (in the swimming pool and the natural pool beneath a waterfall), outdoor Filipino games, camp cooking and food preparation, arts and crafts and other team initiative games where everyone can cooperate. An outdoor adventure race will be the concluding activity.
A regular fee of P5000 will be required, P4000 for those who can pay before May 15. Below are the inclusives:
- meals
- accommodation
- equipment (tents, ropes, harnesses, helmets, PFDs)
- use of the facilities and entrance fees
- transport
- camping and camp crafts.
