18 Aug JV Ejercito: Duterte to Name More Politicians, Former House Representatives Allegedly Involved in Drug Trade

Last August 16, 2016, Senator JV Ejercito said that President Rodrigo Duterte is to name politicians who are allegedly involved in drug trade including former House Representatives, and that he was shocked when the president revealed the names of those former congressmen whom he knew.
“Nakakasiguro ako former congressmen, kakatapos lang ng termino mga fresh pa ito,” said Ejercito during a telephone interview with GMA News TV. “Medyo nagulat din ako. I have to be honest with you, kasi nakilala ko din ang mga ‘yun. Medyo na-shock din ako kasi nakasama ko ‘yung mga ‘yun.”
Ejercito added that most names on the said new list are from Mindanao and Metro Manila which includes mayors and councilors, while no one was named from the Senate.
It was on Monday that Ejercito heard about the list during a meeting with Duterte, some senators and Cabinet members held at the State Dining Room of Malacañang. However, he admitted that he did not personally see the list for according to him, it was enclosed in a folder.
