Kagay-anon boxer, Dannel Maamo won over his Chinese rival, Chang Yong, in the Asian Boxing Confederation (ASBC) Asian Elite Championships last May 2, 2017, at the Uzbekistan National Sports Complex in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Also hoping to get a place in the boxing games are James Palicte in the lightweight division and Joel Bacho in the welterweight division. However, the other last two players weren’t able to beat their contenders on their respective divisions.
This 2017, other ASBC events of different categories will be held at different places in Asia and other parts of the world.
