12 Jan Kagay-anon Female Shares Holdup Experience While Walking To Cogon
Mga higala! Meko Jean, a mother of 2 living in Cagayan de Oro City, was recently held up by an unidentified male while walking to the Cogon area!
According to her post, this happened last Sunday, January 9, 2022, at around 7:30 pm.
While in the vicinity of XU-Ateneo de Cagayan, she decided to walk to Cogon in order to ride a motorela bound for Gusa. However, when she got near the Hall of Justice, the said suspect suddenly approached her and threatened her with a sharp weapon (allegedly an ice pick).
The suspect then told her to surrender her money and/or belongings or risk getting stabbed.
Terrified, Jean couldn’t stop herself from crying and tried to plead with the suspect. However, she was threatened again with the said weapon and was told to stay quiet.
The suspect then took her money and walked with her until they reached an area near a BDO branch.
Since the area was well lit, the suspect then left her after repeatedly threatening to hurt her if she calls for help.
(After a while, a couple noticed and helped her ride a habal-habal in order to get home.)
