15 May Kagay-anon Girl Helps Elderly Garbage Collector Get SAP Cash Aid
Mga higala! Jam Golloso, a 20-year-old Kagay-anon, recently helped an elderly garbage collector in Brgy. Carmen to enlist and acquire a cash aid, under the government’s Social Amelioration Program (SAP).
The said garbage collector is Tatay Doroteo Bantigue, who was still roaming around and scavenging for scraps when he met Jam, despite the current pandemic, so that he’ll have enough money to survive.
Jam then offered some relief goods to Tatay Doroteo and the two of them got to talking about his situation. She then posted their encounter on Facebook, hoping that someone would help and connect him with the DSWD.
A few days later, Tatay Doroteo was contacted by local social welfare personnel and received cash aid and groceries.
