03 Jul Kagay-anon TJ Monterde and Fiancé KZ Tandingan Aims To Introduce More Vispop Music
In a video interview with the Inquirer, Kagay-anon singer and songwriter– TJ Monterde said that he and his fiancée KZ Tandingan have already written a number of Bisaya songs and that they are looking forward to work on them once they get married.
They will then aim to do their best in introducing Bisaya Pop music, or simply VisPop, even to non-bisaya listeners.
ICYDK, it was in 2016 when TJ had a career breakthrough with his songs “Dating Tayo” and “Tulad Mo” when it became hits on various music streaming platforms.
Even without an official release, his Vispop single “Kung Siya Man” got airplay and streams in Mindanao. It also became one of the most requested songs in his concerts.
Recently, he released a Bisaya song with the title “Puhon” (translates to “in the future” or “god willing”). A midtempo jam in guitar and marimba which is about a boy waiting for the love of his life. But according to TJ, the song can bring positive vibes amidst the pandemic that the country is facing today.
