26 May 31 Maute members, 13 government soldiers and 2 policemen killed in Marawi City
As the siege in Marawi city continues the number of killings among the Maute group, military troops and civilians increases.
In an article from GMA News, since the chaos in Marawi City commenced, commander of 1st Infantry Division of the Philippine Army, Brig. Gen. Rolly Bautista accounts a total of thirty-one killings of supposed members of the Maute group.
The security forces were also able to retrieve 6 high-powered firearms during their deliberate operations in areas that were occupied by the terrorists.
As government troops cleared two bridges in Marawi City, thirteen of the Maute group members were killed.
Another encounter between the Maute group and military troops has caused another thirteen more terrorist to die in the siege where three high powered firearms were recovered.
As of today, authorities reported that there are a total of thirteen government soldiers and two policemen killed in the siege and thirty-eight government soldiers and two policemen are wounded.
