25 Mar Koko Pimentel, Second Senator to Test Positive for COVID-19
Mga higala! Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III has tested positive for COVID-19, making him the second senator confirmed to have been infected with the disease, next to Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri.
According to reports, Pimentel took the test last March 20 and just this Tuesday, March 24, the result was released, informing him that he tested positive for the virus. At that time, he was at the hospital with his wife who is expected to give birth this week.
“Since the last day of session March 11, I had already tried my best to limit my movement. I will call (to the best of my ability) those I remember meeting during those crucial days so that I can inform them of my test result,” as said by Pimentel in a statement sent to reporters.
