09 Nov Lanao del Norte Governor Urges Youth to be Vigilant Against “Suspicious People”
Lanao del Norte Governor Imelda Quibranza-Dimaporo reminded the young people throughout the province to remain vigilant and alerted at all times for any suspicious individuals that might carry out possible terrorist attacks.
In an article by Davao Today, this was what she pointed out in her message in the 4th Youth for Development Congress at the Mindanao Civic Center in Tubod, Lanao del Norte wherein over 1,700 people attended.
Dimaporo said that the youth should avoid entertaining any deceptive offers from individuals they do not personally know as they might get involved with extremism and radicalism. Instead, Dimaporo added that the youth should work hand in hand with the government to block the entry of terrorism to the province.
Her speech came with a reminder to the youth to report any individuals who are acting suspiciously in public to the officials of the local government, police officers, or to the Philippine Army.
She also urged the youth to be one with the government in its efforts to achieve sustainability in the goals and development for the community.
