LOOK: Weekend Adventure With The Langit-Langit Falls Of Balingoan, Misamis Oriental

Mga higala! Pack your bags, invite your friends, and visit the LANGIT-LANGIT FALLS of Balingoan, Misamis Oriental, and have an amazing adventure this weekend while exploring the gifts of nature!

Langit-Langit Falls

Langit-langit Falls is a beautiful waterfall with cascading waters that is 90 meters in height, surrounded by a rich ecosystem. It is one of the most well-known adventure spots in the province, with a minor trekking challenge and a memorable landscape.

Langit-Langit Falls

It is 2 hours and 40 minutes away from Cagayan de Oro City.

HOW TO GET THERE? Read the instructions below, given to us by Sir Jhong, a Kagay-anon adventurer:

How to get there?

1. Ride a bus going to Balingoan at the Agora Bus Terminal (P90 non-aircon, P170 aircon as of February 2019).

2. Go to Balingoan Municipal Hall (5 mins away from Balingoan Bus Terminal, near the police station) for logbook purposes and don’t forget to sign your name again after going Langit-langit Falls.

3. Ride a habal-habal near Balingoan Bus Terminal. Their rate is around P100-150 per head going to Dahilig Barangay Hall via Kabulakan-Mapua-Dahilig road. Travel time is around 45 mins and inform the driver what time to pick you up, back to the bus terminal.

4. Sign a logbook (again) at the Dahilig Barangay Hall. They will provide local guides to the falls. Guide’s fee is around P300-500. Continue ride habal-habal to jump-off site.

5. The road is rough, bumpy, and has steep uphill ascent for private cars. Habal-habal is recommended. Park your car at your own risk.

6. Prepare your knees for an hour of steep descent trek to the waterfalls. At the moment, 1/4 of the total stairs going down are cemented, the rest aren’t.

7. There are no stores around the waterfalls so bring your own food and water. Please maintain cleanliness in the surroundings and don’t throw your garbages anywhere. Leave no trace 😉
