25 Oct UPDATE: Limketkai Denies Rejecting DPWH To Dig Inside Their Complex, Demands Official Letter

Mga higala! LIMKETKAI has now denied that they rejected the proposal of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to dig inside their complex, in order to complete Cagayan de Oro City’s P1.8 BILLION DRAINAGE SYSTEM.
According to a report from Sunstar CDO, Limketkai Sons Inc. expressed that they want an official written communication from the DPWH first before they will decide and agree on the drainage plan.
“Walay official communication ilang na-receive na diri diay moagi ang construction sa road lot mismo dapit sa Limketkai. Although kabalo sila sa project, they were not properly informed in writing,” said Councilor Teodulfo Lao Jr. in an interview.
[They did not receive an official communication stating that the construction needed to g0 through Limketkai’s road lot. Although they knew about it, they were not properly informed in writing.]
Lao explicitly pointed out that Limketkai did not forbid DPWH to dig a subterranean drainage inside their complex and said that Limketkai did not “change their mind”, because there was no agreement in the first place.
