Here is the updated list of REGION X institutions included in the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act signed by President Rodrigo Duterte. Which gives full tuition subsidy for students in State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), local universities and colleges, and state-run technical-vocational schools.
Region X – Northern Mindanao
- Bukidnon State University
- Camiguin Polytechnic State College
- Central Mindanao University
- University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines – Cagayan De Oro Campus
- MSU – Iligan Institute of Technology
- University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines – Claveria Campus
- Northwestern Mindanao State College of Science and Technology
- Pangantucan Bukidnon Community College (PBCC)
- Magsaysay College
- Initao College
- Gov. Alfonso D. Tan College
- Northern Bukidnon Community College
- Opol Community College
- Tagoloan Community College
However, in accordance with this generous opportunity, Ched Officer-In-Charge, J. Prospero de Vera III stressed that government scholars have to return the money or favor by the public in the form of service.
Students who will avail the free tuition are expected to render ‘return of service’ while studying in college. If they choose not to comply with the requirement, they will have to pay for their tuition and opt out of the scholarship program.
