24 Oct LTFRB Allows Students To Avail Fare Discount On Holidays And Weekends

In an article by rappler.com, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Memorandum Circular released last October which allows students to avail fare discounts during weekends and even holidays will take effect on October 28.
The Memorandum states that “Students can avail of the twenty percent (20%) discount from Monday to Sunday including summer breaks, legal and special holidays.”
However, the ruling is only applicable to students of undergraduate degrees and those who are already enrolled in post-graduate programs such as law, medicine, masters, etc will be paying as regular passengers.
