21 May LTFRB To Impose “Bayad Muna, Bago Sakay” In PUVs As Measure Against COVID-19
Mga higala! The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has announced its “Bayad Muna, Bago Sakay” campaign for Public Utility Vehicles (PUVs), as a measure against COVID-19!
This aims to help passengers practice social distancing and reduce their physical contact among other commuters, especially when riding jeepneys.
With this rule, passengers will be required to pay the driver or conductor before boarding public vehicles, except for taxis.
The LTFRB is also working on a plan to implement cashless fare transactions.
