LTFRB Removes Eye Protectors As Alternative For Face Shields

Mga higala! Mga higala! The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has released Memorandum Circular No. 2020-033 which amends a portion of 2020-031!

This new memo removes eye protectors as an alternative to the required face shields for drivers, conductors, and passengers on public utility vehicles (PUVs).

Below is the said portion:

BEFORE

3. Strictly require all drivers, conductors, and passengers of PUVs to wear face masks and face shields/eye protectors inside PUVs. Failure to wear face masks and face shields/eye protectors shall be a reasonable ground to refuse/deny boarding in any PUV.

NOW

3. Strictly require all drivers, conductors, and passengers of PUVs to wear face masks and face shields inside PUVs. Failure to wear face masks and face shields shall be a reasonable ground to refuse/deny boarding in any PUV.
