27 Sep LTFRB-10 Heightened Operations against “Colorum” Vehicles, Seized 5 For-Hire Vans
Unregistered or commonly called as “colorum” public utility vehicles which are still operating without a permit were seized by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board in Region 10 (LTFRB-10).
The agency was ordered by LTFRB-10 Acting Regional Director, Aminoden Guro, to heighten their operations against colorum vehicles running several routes in the region.
Following the early retirement of Mandangan Darimbang, who served as the regional director for Northern Mindanao for about 30 years, LTFRB chief Martin Delgra appointed Guro to take over.
Five for-hire vans were seized by LTFRB-10 and are now retained at the regional office’s lawn, Guro said.
The confiscated vans were said to be operating at Cagayan de Oro to Camiguin, Baungon, Bukidnon, Iligan City and Lanao provinces routes.
Guro added that the drivers of the confiscated vans failed to provide any LTFRB permit when inspected.
