Mga higala! The Land Transportation Office (LTO) will start to require a 15-hour theoretical driving course this April 6, 2020, to everyone who wants to acquire a student driver’s permit!

This is part of Memorandum Circular 2019-2176, which aims to accredit and regulate driving schools and standardize driver education in the Philippines.

According to cosmo.ph, the said driving course will have 3 sessions and will include the Introduction to Driving and Traffic Rules and the Land Transportation-Related Special Laws.

After completing and passing the 15-hour theoretical driving course, applicants will be given certificates of completion which will then be sent to the LTO by their driving school.
