Mga higala! A local broadcaster was criticized by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWD) after supposedly forcing a 9-year-old rape victim to narrate her ordeal in a recent live interview.

According to an article by Sunstar CDO, City Administrator Teddy Sabuga-a sent a letter to Magnum Radyo and identified the said broadcaster as Manny Agustero.

In case you don’t know, the 9-year-old was reportedly abducted and raped by two unidentified men, and Agustero apparently forced her to answer questions regarding the incident.

City Administrator Sabuga-a stated that the CSWD, some city officials, and the public who listened to the broadcast were alarmed about how the interview was conducted. He also added that even if Magnum Radyo or the broadcaster just wanted to gain information, their methods were insensitive and may have also violated the limits on how to handle cases involving minors.
