22 Aug Malaysian Boxer Defeats Ph Rep Carlo Paalam In 2017 Sea Games
In an article from Rappler.com, Kagay-anon boxer and one of the representatives of the Philippines for the boxing game events in 2017 South East Asian Games, Carlo Paalam lost to Malaysian boxer Muhamad Redzuan yesterday, August 21, ending in a 5-0 decision from the judges.
During the fight, Redzuan used his tactics in takedowns, headlocks, and lacing of the opponent’s face but incurred a few passive warnings from the referee.
Paalam, on the other hand, managed to take Redzuan down with a forceful punch but was not credited for a knockout.
Three other Filipinos boxers, John Marvin, Charly Suarez, and Mario Fernandez, are set to fight on Monday, August 28, for light heavyweight, lightweight, and bantamweight, respectively.
